Anomie returns with her new single ‘First World Problems’. The track is the first taste from her upcoming album, ‘Permanent Revelation’ where Anomie takes electronica to a whole new level with her low dub bass, stomping beat and heavy synth lines.

The track aims to help identify that In the West our First World Problems include bank bailouts, homelessness, drones, surveillance states, police violence, education cuts, indebted servitude, indefinite detention, mass incarceration, apartheid, human rights abuses, racism, sexism, colonialism and endless war against civilians in other countries… All with our tax dollars. In the West we hide behind the facade of our First World Problems being kind of irrelevant, but this is not a helpful or useful way to look at our problems.

Anomie’s debut album, due for release August 2014, has been years in the making, but she is no novice to the electronic scene, performing at some of the world’s biggest electronic and indie festivals including Croatia’s infamous Outlook Festival, Barcelona’s Sonar Festival and the Netherlands’ Gogbot Festival, plus key slots at Australia’s finest festivals including Stereosonic, St Jerome’s Laneway, Sub Sonic and Peats Ridge.

Being one of the FBI’s Most Played Artists of 2012, ‘First World Problems’ is just the start of what is going to be a very exciting year for Anomie.
